Why trust us

Built for travelers, not for agencies

Independent

We are not a tour agency and we don’t sell trips. Our only job is helping you pick the operator that fits you.

Transparent

Same criteria for every agency: prices, group sizes, visa support, real pros and cons. If an agency pays for placement, we say so.

Verified

Every listed operator is checked against traveler reports and direct contact — and 60% of the sites we found were inactive.

Good to know

Socotra travel, quick answers

Do I need a visa to visit Socotra?
Yes, but you don't apply yourself. Socotra has its own e-visa (about $150), separate from a mainland Yemen visa, and your tour operator arranges it once you book.
How do I get to Socotra?
By a limited charter flight — currently roughly one a week via Jeddah, around $950 return. Your operator books the flight and the visa for you; you just reach the departure hub.
Is Socotra safe to visit?
Travelers consistently report Socotra as very safe — it is an island ~350 km offshore, administered separately from mainland Yemen and under UAE protection. The real challenges are logistical, not security.
How much does a Socotra trip cost?
Around $3,000–$4,000 per person all in for a mid-range week: roughly $2,000–$2,500 for the tour, plus the ~$950 flight and ~$150 visa. Budget operators start lower; luxury runs higher.
Which is the best Socotra tour agency?
It depends on what you want — the best for trekking, budget, photography, comfort or solo travel are all different operators. Compare all ten side by side, or take the 2-minute quiz for a personalised match.
When is the best time to visit Socotra?
October to May. December to February is the calm, cool peak; March–April is hotter but the bottle trees bloom. Avoid June–September, when the monsoon shuts much of the island down.
