Socotra is one of the most extraordinary — and most confusing — places to book a trip to. Dozens of operators, almost no neutral information, and a real risk of paying a deposit to the wrong one. We built Roadless Tours to fix exactly that.
What we are
We are an independent comparison and matchmaking site — not a tour agency. We don't run trips, we don't resell them, and we never add a markup. You always book directly with the operator at their own price. Our only job is to do the legwork you can't easily do from home and hand you the right operator for your trip.
How we stay honest
- Same criteria for every operator. Prices, ratings, group sizes, languages, payment models and visa support — measured the same way for each.
- No pay-to-win. If an operator ever pays for placement, we label it clearly. Rankings are never for sale.
- Primary research. Our conclusions come from reading every public review, testing response times and talking to people who've actually been — not from operators' marketing pages. See our methodology.
How we keep the lights on
When you choose an operator through us and book with them, we may earn a referral fee from the operator — at no extra cost to you, and never by adding to your price. We also offer optional personal advice for travelers who want a second opinion before they pay. That's it. We'd rather send you to the right operator than the highest-paying one — a site that does otherwise is worthless.
